The heavy traffic load at the town crossroads was found to cause accelerated undergoing of main phenological phases (blooming, colouring of leaves, beginning of abscission) and shorter duration of vegetation. The most sensitive for the conditions of local pollution proved to be Siberian mountain ash, which is suggested to be used as an indicator of environmental pollution by vehicle emissions.Authors
