Damage of Different Morphological Forms of the Pine Growing in the Lower Reaches of the Northern Dvina River in the Course of Aerotechnogenic Pollution

Abstract

The damages of different morphological forms of the pine growing in the northern taiga subzone on the territory of the Northern Dvina river basin under different silvicultural conditions and situated at different distances from «high» emission sources is considered. The dynamics of the tree population distribution as to its status and indices of damage during aerotechnogenic pollution is shown. Also the dynamics of the pine population distribution for the forms notable for their colour of male strobiles and the crown diameter and growing under background conditions is described. A brief description of the damage and loss of needles by the forms with long and short needles is given.
