Abstract

The article considers the thermal regime of peaty–podzolic soil in mature bilberry-sphagnum pine forest in middle taiga. Seasonal dynamics of soil temperature in a 0…60 cm layer is presented. The period of favourable temperature for root growth of trees is determined.
