Abstract

The analysis of observations of 28 weather stations in the Arkhangelsk region for the 20-years' period has allowed to determine peculiarities of geographical distribution of frost. According to the frequency and intensity of frost 7 groups of districts (forestries) has been singled out. The districts have been arranged in order of increasing risk of frost for each summer month separately. There have been identified groups of districts having frost in July and territories where it has not been recorded. The regularities obtained should be considered when planning reforestation and especially when choosing areas for spruce cultures.
