Abstract

When carrying out complex investigation of wood staying for a long time in soil it is established that its destruction follows the principle of enzymatic hydrolysis, mainly at the expense of its carbohydrate components. It is recommended to take complex measures to protect wood located in the soil from biological corrosion.
