Abstract

The paper substantiates a technique for accelerated growing of special-purpose spruce stands in the middle taiga subzone. These stands are equal to plantations in terms of productivity but are less costly and more environmentally friendly. The quality of timber in 41-year-old spruce crops grown by the accelerated method matched that of naturally growing stands.
