Abstract

The influence of partial clear cutting technology and composition of parent stand on spruce natural regeneration was analyzed at experimental production facilities of the Leningrad Region, Russia. Partial cuttings were performed in stands of Oxalidosum and Myrtillosum forest types with a relative density of 0.6–0.8. The research revealed the influence of partial cutting on the preservation of spruce undergrowth and determined the relation between the quantity of spruce undergrowth and composition of parent stand.
