Abstract

The article considers problems of designing wood trusses with toothed metal plates, related to the rational location of plates, determination of the working area of the plate, andoverexpenditure of material. A software package able to solve these problems is suggested while it allows designing a truss for a minimum salary. An algorithm is developed to determine the working areas and means of rational distribution of the plate in the joint. We describe new components embedded in the system, a technology of interaction with the objects, as well as extensive assistance at any step of the work on designing.
